Liǧʷiłdaxʷ Health Society is partnered with UBC Resident Training Program to bring residents into our communities to provide care, as well as give us as indigenous people the opportunity to have a voice and educate the training doctors on our needs, our history, our traditional medicines and practices. All residents are supervised by local Campbell River and surrounding area doctors.
LKT Health Staff is committed to improving access to pharmacy coverage, medical supplies and Equipment; as well as builds relationships with medical professionals, to help improve and provide holistic patient care.
Partnering Services Include
The Health Advisory supports a self-determined approach to health and wellness. The department focuses on building partnerships with community members, organizations, and all levels of government to address the social determinants of health.

The Patient Travel Clerk works as part of the Health Team ensuring care is culturally specific, ethno-sensitive and patient centered. Working with the Health Team and helping with the Indigenous health system on the new FNHA Health Benefits program and referrals as the need is identified. Helping clients attend properly authorized and eligible medical appointments made with an individual client’s Physician.
Patient Travel is available to Laichwiltach Nations living in the Campbell River area, on and off reserve, with a valid status and health care number.
