LKT Health strives to work with the community and leadership of the nations invested in decision-making and control of programs and services provided. This improves service delivery and the importance of working collaboratively to develop capacity in many facets and to protect the interests of the nations we serve, and allow us to operate at a high operational standard with clear governance documents.
Communities have experienced an increase in the overall population and have noticed the rapid increase in the aging population. This has a direct impact on service delivery and programs for all communities. The increase in services means that more community members are accessing services at LKT Health Centres. The site teams plan programs and services and evaluate based on information received from the community. Communities have the opportunity to evaluate the programs and activities by filling out the evaluation and feedback forms from the various programs run by staff. LKT Health programs work in the community, this is carried out by monitoring, reporting, and making adjustments as necessary while developing plans and making them actionable.
LKT Health has 3 member communities included with the LKT Health transfer agreement. Each of these communities are unique in their own way and programs and services need to be flexible to meet their needs.
LKT Health commits to “helping our people” from our member nations to assist in health prevention and promotion. Our ongoing commitment consists of programming from elder’s lunches, girl’s group, cooking with boys, men’s group, healthy babies, and the precious beginnings program for at-risk moms.
